This project was a collaboration between Groninger Museum, Classic academy of fine art and faculty of medicine. It was based around microorganisms and the glass art exhibition by Chihuly in the museum. My inspiration came from looking at his large glass composition sideways, having the glass ‘flowing’ to the left.
The final artwork portrays the immune system and its battle to keep out infections and disease. Only when the body functions as a whole the immune system can work properly. Not all microorganisms are bad, therefor some colours flow through the body whilst others are kept on the outside.
