The urge for me to paint comes from chasing a nostalgic feeling of my youth. A time where the world felt huge but was yet only so small containing an abundance of happiness and joy and not a care in the world. A time to look back at, a time to relive by painting its sentiment.

Not a day goes by without me making something new. My works on paper are the foundation of my visual exploration as an artist. I walk a thin balance between control and letting go, so I can always surprise myself with the outcome.
